Por Los Chicos means "for the children".

Porloschicos.com is an independent website, committed to improving the standard of living of impoverished children in Argentina. Each time a visitor clicks the donate button, the sponsors provide a ration of food for a needy child (one donation per visitor each day).

The donation costs you NOTHING. The cost is entirely covered by the site's sponsors.

Brooke Hospital for Animals

The Brooke relieves the suffering of horses, donkeys and mules working for poor people in the developing world. Dedicated local vets and their teams provide free care, education and training in the heart of the communities served in Egypt, India, Jordan and Pakistan.

For every horse, donkey and mule they help, an average of six people (or as many as 20 in some areas) are likely to benefit because extended families rely on the income generated through one working animal.

Adopt a Granny

In 2003 Dorcas started with 'Adopt a Granny' to improve the living conditions of the elderly people. Sponsorship is one of the ways to help an elderly person. Sponsorship means that you donate periodically a certain amount of money to Dorcas. With this amount Dorcas is able to provide for the granny in several ways. The help that is given to a granny varies per country and per program, depending on the local situation. Even individual circumstances of the granny are taken into account, for instance if specific medical care is needed.

When you start a sponsorship you will receive information about the granny you sponsor and a picture. At least once a year you will receive a progress report and a new picture every two years.

It is possible to correspond with the granny or even pay a visit.
