I'm 18 years old and I live in Waterford, Ontario (Canada). I come from a very musical family and was encouraged at an early age to sing or play an instrument. I got my first guitar when I was in grade six and have continued playing ever since. I began singing about 2 years ago and although I haven't taken any lessons people seem to like my voice so I keep trying to improve. I started writing songs around the time I started singing as well.

 

I'd describe my music as acoustic-driven singer-songwriting with harder elements. I listen to, and get inspiration from, all type of music (classic rock, folk, pop, punk, reggae, blues, etc). My main influences I would have to say would be Ani DiFranco, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Conor Oberst. People tell me it's hard to compare me to other artists but I've been told I remind them of people like Sarah McLachland and Holly McNarland. I just play what comes out of me and hope that others can relate to my songs and enjoy them.

 

I'm going into the studio soon with a new band.
