Summary:

Tom Ford's adaptation of Christopher Isherwood's 1964 novel about a gay Englishman and professor named George (Colin Firth) who loses his partner of 16 years. Over the course of one day, the story follows George as he tries to continue his normal life and routine in Los Angeles after the death of his partner Jim (Matthew Goode). Julianne Moore will play one of his fellow professors.


"A Single Man" is produced by Ford's Fade to Black with Chris Weitz and Andrew Miano of Depth of Field and Robert Salerno of Artina Films. IM Global is handling foreign sales on the indie financed, CAA-packaged film.


The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Los Angeles, week 45 (2008).
